A manual control button also allows the lid to be opened or closed manually and the unit to be switched on or off.

• Open the battery compartment located underneath the lid.
• Install AAA batteries according to the indicated positive and negative polarity.
• Close the battery compartment securely.
• Press and hold the power button for 2 seconds to switch the bin on.
• Move your hand near the infrared sensor area without touching it to open the lid automatically.
• The lid can also be activated by gently tapping or kicking the designated response area.
• The lid closes automatically after 4 seconds when no movement is detected.
• Press the button once to open the lid manually, then press it again to close it.
• To switch the unit off, press and hold the button for 2 seconds.
